Braga has 2 universities, the Portuguese Catholic and the University University of Minho. The Portuguese Catholic University is private and was founded by the Jesuits, it has campuses in Braga, Lisbon, Oporto and Beiras. Campus Braga is in the upper area of ​​the city, on donated land on Mount Santa Margarida, seminars were held here by S. António and S. Luís Gonzaga. As well as facilities such as a library, residence hall, auditorium, etc., it has 3 faculties: philosophy, social sciences and theology.
