Alghero Cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria)

There's not a lot of information available about Alghero Cathedral, but it's one of the best monuments to visit in town. Accessing the historic area can be a bit tricky, but if you go along the walls, it's not too difficult and you can enjoy the views over the coast. It has many of the details you'd expect from an old Italian cathedral,l but they were renovating the cathedral when we went (apparently due to the humidity). If you go inside, you'll find peace, quiet, and some real masterpieces. It takes about 30 minutes to see everything properly.
