A very nice walk
One of the "problems" that you may encounter visiting the Hebrides is trying to do anything on a Sunday. The islands are very religious, almost Puritan, and on Sunday absolutely everything is closed. Bear it in mind: you will need to buy everything you need the day before! With no transport running, we went for a trek of nearly 25 km, starting from Stornaway Castle. The Castle Round Walk is a great circular path. Pick up a map at the Tourist Office, because there are many different potential routes. For us, this walk was a real highlight, without a doubt the best way to see the Island of Lewis.
