Castle Stalker

This castle, on the west coast of Scotland, is one of the typical images that you think of as a Scotland postcard. It is located on a small island near the coast (when the tide permits, you can walk along it, but it is not recommended because it is dangerous) in Loch Laich, a lake which in turn is part of another, Loch Linnhe. Built in 1320, it is a medieval castle with a typical tower shape (very Scottish). This particular castle has 4 floors, and has been excellently preserved (in part because its location doesn't allow for regular visitors). It was the scene of movies such as "The Immortals" or "Holy Grail" of Monty Python.
