With the town at your feet
The Banyeres castle situated on a 830 meter high spur at the foot of the Mariola sierra. It was constructed in the 17th centrury and is of Muslim origin. The 20 metertall homage tower really stands out.
The afternoon couldn´t be better. I got to know several people while I was looking for the castle entrance. The back entrance was closed and the front was under construction, who in their right mind does construction after the summer? Overall, it was a couple of fun and entertaining hours.
Aside from its beauty, the views from the top of Banyeres couldn´t be any more spectacular.
