Rapperswil castle

The Counts of Rapperswil enjoyed the best scenery, Rapperswil castle is in a beautiful historic city and medieval old town. From the castle you can see Lake Zurich, the surrounding hills and mountain ranges and it's one of the landmarks and monuments of eastern Switzerland. Castle Hill also invites a short route, passing through an historic deer park at the castle gates. The setting of the castle is stunning and the interior is equipped to celebrate events. A monument to note is the Polish freedom pillar that is a symbol of solidarity in Switzerland with the towns fighting for their freedom.
