A place to get lost
40 kilometres from Lodi, the provincial capital, Castelnuovo Bocca d'Adda is located at the confluence of the rivers Po and Adda. A good place to visit, particularly if you love fishing; it's an area that really fills up with anglers during the peak season. The city has been inhabited since 223 BC, and was the scene of disputes between the cities of Lodi, Cremona and Piacenza. Its name derives from a castle that no longer exists, but the skill of its craftsmen, mainly in iron work, persist to the present day. On Sundays, the antiques fair presents amazing local objects.
