Ancient Splendour
Like other cities famous for its thermal waters, in the early 20th century Evian attracted some of the European nobility. Apart from taking the waters, the nobility spent their free time in this town with far less healthy distractions. The casino, located across from Lake Geneva, is one of the town's landmarks and is easily distinguishable along its skyline. It's a great neo-classical building with modern touches, pompous as befits a place where of past rich quarters. It still works as such, but without the glitz of yesteryear.
