Casa particular Belén

A Santiago llegamos ya de noche después de muchas horas en autocar desde Camagüey. Nos bajamos del bus, salimos de la terminal, esquivamos a las docenas de taxistas que había por allí y nos pusimos a caminar dirección el centro de la ciudad. El camino era fácil, sólo teníamos que seguir la avenida de los Libertadores pero el cansancio acumulado, el peso de la mochila (y eso que viajamos muy ligeros) y la subidita de la calle (Santiago tiene muchas subidas y bajadas) hicieron que nos metiéramos por la avenida de Céspedes a ver si dábamos con algún lugar económico. Allí, entre música y gente bebiendo en la calle (eran los carnavales de la ciudad) dimos con la casa particular Belén, una casa con 3 habitaciones privadas con baño y aire acondicionado. El precio inicial fueron 25 CUC, el precio común por dormir en una casa particular en Santiago, pero intentamos regatear un poco y nos salió bien. Al final 20 CUC por noche con un pequeño desayuno a base de huevos fritos y pan duro (pero duro duro eh) incluido. La primera noche la pasamos en la habitación que hay en la planta baja al lado del salón. No nos gustó mucho pero era la única que le quedaba así que aceptamos. La habitación bastante hortera pero con un colchón normal, baño con agua caliente y clima. Al día siguiente una de las habitaciones de arriba se vació así que nos cambiamos. Hortera también pero menos y con luz natural algo que en la habitación de abajo no había :S Belén, la dueña, una mujer bastante maja que junto a su marido llevan la casa desde hace ya varios años. Con ellos tuvimos buenas charlas y nos dieron tips para disfrutar de Santiago a nuestro aire. Quizá el único punto negativo es que no nos dieron llave y cada vez que salíamos o entrábamos de la casa teníamos que picar al timbre y esperar a que nos abrieran, a veces incluso 5 minutos. Pero bueno, salvo esto la verdad es que estuvimos muy a gusto ;)

Not much but we gust was the only one who was left as we accept. The room quite tacky but with a normal mattress, bathroom with hot water and climate. The next day one of the upstairs rooms as we moved is emptied. But also less tacky and natural light in the room something that had not below: S Bethlehem, the Duea, a pretty maja woman and her husband run the house for already several years. With them we had good talks and gave us tips to enjoy our air Santiago. Quiz the sole negative point is that we did not lock and whenever salted or entrbamos tenamos house to chop the bell and wait for them to open us, sometimes even 5 minutes.
