Market-fresh, creative tapas

Excellent

Casa Juanico is in the historic centre of the city, it’s a restaurant which offers creative food and from the market. Good value for money.

A friend recommended it to me and I went one evening after visiting the House of Infanzón Jerónimo Cósida, the site of the Camón Aznar Museum which is only a few steps away.

It’s a very small place, at the entrance there is a bar with a good selection of tapas and inside a room with tables. What you notice are the tapas, very creative and with names like: monkeys’ brains, little fingers with jam, zucchini with squid, loquat stuffed with blue cheese, and of course, the famous “jamón con chorreras”, the star tapa of the place. This comprises of hard-boiled egg, wrapped in boiled ham, béchamel sauce and fried with batter. You can find meats and fish for more formal meals with high quality products, as well as good wines.


Open from 11:00 to 17:00 and from 20:00 to 24:00 Monday to Saturday; Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.

I recommend it, it is a place where I will go again and without doubt take my friends.

Excellent tapas!

This bar is centrally located. It has some excellent tapas. The specialty, which is highly recommended, is the ham with frills, but don't miss the goat cheese.

Casa Juanico es uno de esos bares de toda la vida de la noche y el tapeo de Zaragoza. Está situado en la plaza Santa Cruz, en la proximidades de la calle Alfonso, en una de las plazas más míticas del casco antiguo de Zaragoza. Tiene tapas muy modernas, como el ravioli relleno de rape y langostino por ejemplo, pero sin duda, el plato estrella de Casa Juanico es el jamón con chorreras. Una tapa fácil y consistente, que se basa en jamón de york, queso, huevo y rebozado, y que encima está buenísima. Hace poco que le han cambiado la decoración interior y ahora luce muy moderno.
House Juanico is one of those bars all night life and tapas in Zaragoza. It is situated on the Santa Cruz Square in the vicinity of Alfonso Street, in one of the places most mticas the old town of Zaragoza. It has very modern tapas, such as ravioli filled with monkfish and shrimp for example, but undoubtedly the star dish is the Casa Juanico frilly ham. An easy and consistent cover, which is based on york ham, cheese, egg and breadcrumbs, and above is buensima. Recently they have changed the decor inside and now looks very modern.

Cerca de la plaza de las Catedrales o...

Cerca de la plaza de las Catedrales o del Pilar, hicimos un alto por este tradicional bar para probar el jamón con chorreras, un delicioso "must". Las hamburguesitas también muy ricas, junto con el cuesco de queso cabra.
Near the square of the Cathedrals and the Pillar, we stopped by this traditional bar to try the ham with frills, delicious "must". The rich also hamburgers, along with goat cheese fart.

Good food and bad name

Del buen comer y el mal nombre

La sugerente carta de tapas con nombres como "sesos de mono" o "cuesco de cabra" esconde delicias dignas de un rey. No os vayáis sin probar el níspero relleno de queso azul o el jamón con chorreras!!!
The tapas menu with suggestive names like "monkey brains" or "goat fart" hidden delicacies fit for a king. Do not leave without trying the blue cheese filling medlar or ham with frills!

Excelentes tapas. Probamos el jamón con chorreras (jamón de york, huevo y quesito) y cuesco de cabra (queso de cabra, confitado de tomate y cebolla crujiente). Muy recomendable.

Go crap site for tapas. Caps in average...

Vaya porqueria de sitio para tapear....

Vaya porqueria de sitio para tapear. Tapas a in promedio de 2€ resecas y con mucho rebozado nada frescas. Los caracoles sin lavar bien y el jamón normalito. Fui con unos italianos compañeros del trabajo y quede fatal. El local da aspecto a sucio y cutre , vamos que Chicote haría todo un programa de pesadilla en la cocina. Nada recomendable, abstenerse de ir.
Go crap site for tapas. Caps in average 2 € parched much batter and nothing fresh. Snails unwashed good and average ham. I went with some coworkers and Italians remain fatal. The home gives dirty and shabby aspect, that we would do a whole program Chicote nightmare in the kitchen. Not recommended, refrain from going.
