As instalações da Casa de Cultura mesmo, contam um pouco desta história, pois de 1917 a 2003 funcionou a cadeia do local. Mas no início do século foi criada a instituição cultural e a Secretaria Municipal passaria a funcionar no lugar. Saber das origens da cidade e das diversas transformações pelas quais passou é um excelente programa para quem visita a cidade.
