Com seu prédio branco e azul, a Casa da Cultura de Paraty se destaca no centro histórico da cidade. Com a difícil tarefa de representar a rica cultura da cidade litorânea (difícil pois, por ser rica, a mesma possui uma infinita variedade), a Casa da Cultura faz uma trajetória histórico cultural da cidade, com exposições temporárias e permanentes.
Estas contam uma história que vai dos idos coloniais até os dias de hoje com mostras de artistas contemporâneos e locais. A vedete do espaço cultural é a exposição permanente de Bia Lessa que mostra o cotidiano da bela cidade, além da exposição dedicada as pessoas da cidade, como objetos que cotam a história da cidade através de narrativa material. Mas só o prédio em si tem uma trajetória histórica na cidade presenciando e sediando acontecimentos importantes de Paraty.
With its white and blue prdio, the House of Culture of Paraty stands out in the historic city center.
