Casa Babylon Restaurant (closed)

This restaurant is located in the centre of Burgos, very close to the Plaza Mayor. The restaurant occupies an eighteenth century house with several floors and has an interior elevator to access the various dining rooms, which are divided into smoking and non-smoking.

When I go to Burgos I usually go to eat at Babylon, as the other restaurants I usually see around the historic centre are lamb grillrooms, and I don’t like that kind of food. The restaurant specializes in "flavours of the world", with dishes such as risottos, seafood lasagne, pasta dishes, Mexican burritos, tempura, Chinese noodles, Argentine entrecote, duck confit, cod, etc...

Since we discovered it we always try to go when passing through Burgos. It is very well located with public parking in the Plaza Mayor at the door.

The building impresses with dining rooms at height, but very accessible for prams and the disabled, being that they have a very comfortable platform lift and elevator. It is unlike other typical Castilian restaurants; you can try dishes from different international cuisines, eat good meat and fish with a twist.

Elaborate and original cuisine. Furthermore, very well priced (fifteen euro daily menu). The service is very friendly and they take care of every detail. It’s as if you're dining in one of those trendy bars in Tokyo, New York, London ... I don’t know, either as a couple or with friends the evenings are very pleasant. We always repeat and it never disappoints.

Food with high quality products and a cheap price. They have three dining rooms in which if you go with a group of more than 30 are available to reserve in their entirety.

The menus are daily and cheap, but it is better to call as it is almost always full or crowded. It's nice because the dining rooms are small and you don’t get the feeling of being cramped. One eats very well.
