Cartagena de Indias

The most-visited place in Colombia, and with reason, and although I usually escape the more touristy places, Cartagena is definitely worth a visit. My recommendation is that you visit the old town at dawn, when the streets are free of cars, and before it gets hot. The Castle of San Felipe is also worth an early visit, if not, the photos will burn up and so will you.
