Caravel Pinta

Ubicada en el muelle de Baiona, en pleno paseo marítimo frente al [poi=63750]puerto deportivo[/poi], se encuentra anclada una réplica exacta de la carabela Pinta, hoy convertida en museo y que puede visitarse por dentro. Es un pequeño museo colombino, similar al [poi=60398]Muelle de las Carabelas[/poi] de Huelva, pero de reducido tamaño. El acceso se realiza a través de una larga pasarela de madera. Se construyó con motivo de la celebración del V Centenario del descubrimiento de América, ya que Baiona fue el primer puerto español que tuvo conocimiento de la hazaña, al que llegó Martín Alonso Pinzón (capitaneando la Pinta) el 1 de marzo de 1493. En el interior de la carabela están caracterizados los miembros de la tripulación ataviados con sus trajes típicos, los indígenas americanos, y hay réplicas de los distintos objetos que trajo del Nuevo Mundo (metales, plantas, alimentos y animales exóticos). Me encantó visitarla por el módico precio de dos euros y me sorprendió la rehabilitación y restauración que le hicieron desde la última vez. Para visitar con niños donde puedes bajar y subir a tu antojo y transportarte a la época del descubrimiento de América.

He visitado la carabela en un par de ocasiones una sola y otra con mis hijos. El pueblo es bonito y tiene su encanto. La carabela pinta es muy bonita y esta muy bien para pasar un rato, tiene cosas curiosas en su interior, pero con verla una vez llega.
