A 3 star hotel
I stayed for a weekend at this 3-star hotel, which was not bad, and pretty convenient. It was the best value that I saw online, 19 euros per person per night with breakfast included, despite it being a holiday weekend. We arrived around 11 am, and had to wait for 10 minutes as the room wasn't ready yet. The room was quite spacious, with three 90cm beds and a good desk. The wardrobe was a bit small, and so was the TV, hung from a bracket on the wall (apparently it has satellite channels, but I don't know as we didn't even turn it on). The furniture was nothing special, but it was functional and modern.
The room was perfectly clean, but there was a strange smell - like there was a problem with the pipes, but the bathroom was okay. The floor was carpeted, and there was air conditioning and heating. It was very bright, with one wall being all windows. The trouble is that there was no soundproofing or shutters, so it was noisy at night, and bright at dawn. I didn't like the bed too much, as I prefer hard mattresses and it sank quite a bit. The bathroom was spacious, with a large bath, toilet, bidet, and a marble countertop with built-in sink and plenty of counter space. There weren't many amenities - just a bar of soap in the sink, a gel dispenser on the wall of the tub, and a hairdryer.
Hot water came fast and with plenty of pressure, but there was only a shower curtain, not a screen door, and it could have done with a little more lighting. On the ground floor, next to the reception desk, there were vending machines for coffee, cold drinks and snacks. There was a small TV room, with a computer with free internet (wifi was 3 euros an hour or 12 a day, and only in this area), a little bar and breakfast room. The breakfast was served until 10am, but one day we went down at 9:30 and they weren't repleneshing things. Regarding the location, it's on one of the main commercial streets, but it's not quite in the heart of the city - 10 minutes walk away. Be careful parking under the trees, as they produce a sticky liquid that will leave your car quite a mess. In summary, an okay 3-star, but not amazing.
