interesting paintings inside
I kept going down the street, leaving the Portuguese Center of Photography behind and found this little chapel, just opposite the modern building of the Museum of Natural History. The facade was not very well taken care of and blackish and to me it seemed unfinished, because it only had one tower on one side. It took almost a century to build (from 1795 to 1878) and I believe that the designer was Carlos Amarante.
It was closed and I could not see the inside, but they say that the most interesting part of the chapel are the ancient paintings, one representing the Ponte das Barcas catastrophe
