Decidedly Oregonian
I always thought ‘Kiwanda’ sounded like it should be in Zimbabwe. Actually, this seaside park is wild like Africa, but decidedly Oregonian. Cape Kiwanda is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, and is dominated by a sea stack named Chief Kiawanda Rock a half-mile off shore. Cape Kiwanda Stata Natural Area offers hiking, photography, wildlife viewing, fishing, and beaches. The coast here is wild and beautiful, and the ocean wind blowing inland is cool and inviting.
