Arrived in Montepulciano just in time...
Arrived in Montepulciano just in time for lunch at Cantina Gattavecchi. They offer at tasting of three of their wines for 10 Euros which I enjoyed with a selection of bruschette and crostini. The crostino topped with liver pate was outstanding. You are allowed to explore the cellars, which were originally Etruscan tombs.
Afterwards views from the old town across to Lago Trasimeno aided the digestion.
