Really enchanting place

Excellent

One of the most fun and charming ski experiences I've ever had was definitely in Canazei. There are miles of slopes for every level, a snowpark, and you can actually ski on the ice of the Marmolada. There warm and cozy mountain huts on the slopes where you can duck in and try some of the regional dishes from the Dolomites. Davero is a good place for those who still haven't gotten the hang of skiing and those who prefer a little shopping and quiet village life. I can't wait to go back.

Canazei is a lovely place!

Excellent

To see it now, with its decorated homes, pointy spires of the churches, and the old barns that smell of wood and history, you wouldn't imagine that it was once a swamp. The origin of the Latin name "cannacetum" is reeds! Canazei (1465mt., 1910 inhabitants) lies on the banks of the Avisio river and after World War II became the best-known tourist resort of Val di Fassa and one of the most important of the Dolomites as a whole.

Canazei is literally surrounded by the majestic Dolomites: the powerful Sella Group (3152 mt.) dominates the landscape on one side and on the one hand the Gran Vernel (3058 mt.). Then you have the Marmolada (3342 m.), the Queen of the Dolomites.
