I was only able to experience Amsterdam for a day but it felt like a week. The day was beautiful and after a delicious lunch by the canals I strolled through the streets documenting the beauty of the city. This photograph always reminds me of that lunch and the warmth on my face as I sat back and enjoyed the peacefulness of Amsterdam.
I was only in Amsterdam for about a day and a half but it felt like a lifetime! The city has so much culture and things to see that it is such an interesting experience. From the coffee shops with the business men sitting there with their briefcase having a coffee and splif before work, to the ladies in lingerie standing in the windows in the Red Light District... it really is like no other place.
Swimming is possible but the water is freezing. Be sure to be polite and follow street signs when visiting-these canals are still used.
This city is so beautiful not only for her canals but for the emotions that can make you feel, people here are so kind !

The true life of Amsterdam is on it's canals. Whether you are on a bike, walking or taking a boat trip - you feel the spirit of truly relaxed people. Chilling at its best!
We did a lovely walk along the canals by night and the atmosphere was just amazing
They are everywhere and are one of the many things that make the city so stoning.
Interesting side note, the water looks green but is actually very clean. Canals are drained and cleaned regularly.
