The lung of Navia
Campoamor Park is just outside the Asturian town of Navia and, as its name suggests, is dedicated to the great poet and local politician Don Ramon de Campoamor. As a tribute to the poet there is the statue of Ramon de Campoamor in the center of the park, made of bronze on a raised pesdestal in a landscaped circle. The sculpture was opened on August 13, 1913 and was created by Aurelio Carter. The park was re-opened late 2009 after it had deteriorated, it has new asphalt and greenery with the planting of new trees, but personally I liked the side benches made of blue tiles with views of the Ria de
