Excellent

What appears obvious when visiting the city's municipal campsite of Saint-Avertin is its tranquility. Although it is located just minutes from the center of the neighboring city of Tours and close to a fairly busy street, the place itself is pretty quiet, hidden behind trees and just steps away from a small canal or river (it may be the river Cher). Not far away is the town center of St Avertin, with its bakery, post office, banks, a mini supermarket, etc.. The facilities are basic but adequate and fairly inexpensive (the night cost 14.10 euros for 2 people). If you do not have a car, it should not prevent you from visiting the area as it has a good connection with Fil Bleu buses so you can get to Tours in about 15 minutes.

It will take longer by bike but it is do-able and enjoyable as much of the route goes along the river Cher. A good choice for those wishing to visit Tours to enjoy some real tranquility whilst being close to all amenities!
