Cambusbarron Village

1 review of Cambusbarron Village

A charming hamlet

Excellent

Cambusbarron, like Bridge of Allan, is a village belonging to Stirling, and is a charming hamlet with a great atmosphere. It's a small traditional village, built around a central street where you'll find the post office and the busiest pub. Today it is a much sought-after destination for students who are looking for a quiet place, as is usually the case with postgraduates. Historically, it is known for being the site where Robert the Bruce lived, and where he planned the fourteenth century Battle of Bannockburn. The church here commemorates the king, and is the most important monument in the town.
