The color of Sicily
Cala Tonnarella dell'Uzzo is the first beach you come across in the Zingaro Nature Reserve on the side of San Vito Lo Capo. You can get there pretty easily, even with children, although the path is uncovered so in summer it's really hot. However, you can reach Tonnarella in a 10/15 minute walk ending in a path with dug-out steps. The beach is pebbly, so it's best to have shoes. The clearness of the water is amazing and you can see a lot of fish quite close to shore. The sea gets deep rather quickly but, being a protected bay, the sea isn't very choppy and children with little experience with floaties or life preservers can enjoy themselves in peace.
