Plage du Petit Sperone

Ten minutes drive north east of Bonifacio, along the panoramic road leading to the lighthouse (which alone would be worth a stop for a few minutes to enjoy the view of the cliffs and the citadel), you will find some amazing beaches. This is the bay of Rondinara, and the cove of Speroni can be found at the north end - a lovely beach, quite narrow and not crowded, in a great position, sheltered from the waves of the bay. At low tide, an island emerges a few hundred metres from the shore. You don't need to be a great swimmer, as the depth of the water varies from a few centimetres to one metre. The water is crystal clear, and the views from the car park are beautiful.
