Cais da Ferradosa (Ribera del Douro) Restaurant

This is a wonderful secret, perfect for stopping to eat at the start of the incredible route along the banks of the Douro: It is an old train station converted into a modern restaurant. To access it you must deviate in São João da Pesqueira to Vale de Figueira. The road is narrow and steep and you make several curves down to the river. There you will find the restaurant Cais da Ferradosa. Simple food but exquisite cuisine that is traditional in Douro, with great wines and a place to make you want to stay the rest of the afternoon.
