Cairo Desert

Awesome...the sunset in the Cairo Desert is truly indescribable! It is one of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen, not just for the landscape but also for the emotions it evokes. The desert is located between Cairo and Aswan and once you arrive, you can't help but experience mixed feelings. On one hand, it's so peaceful with nothing but sand and sky. On the other hand, there's a definite sense of unease at the sheer inhospitably of the landscape. The sunset magnifies both those feelings. You'll gradually watch the blue sky becoming yellow and note the change in the color of the desert sand.
