great classical theater
Although not as easily recognizable as the Chicago Theater, Cadillac Palace is one of the great classical venues of the city. Its marquee and logo are equally striking and evoke the golden age of Broadway. The Cadillac began in 1926 as a vaudeville hall and was soon converted to harbor the newly invented screenings of films. Currently, it returns to work as a theater room and gives a programming class. Although the exterior decoration suggests art-deco, the inside is decorated in a French Baroque style inspired by Versailles.
