Cabinas El Pueblo hotel

This lively hostel is located in the town of Santa Elena, near the Biosphere Reserve in Monteverde. It has rooms with either a private or shared bathroom. Despite its low price everything is spotless and the rooms have free wifi, fridge and hairdryer. They are very large. The owner, Freddy, is so lovely and always willing to engage in a lively conversation with you or explain any route or anecdote. The cabins have their own coffee plantation and throughout the day you can try the coffee in the hostel. Breakfast is included and you can choose between two options that are shown daily on a blackboard so you can pick the one you like the look of.
