From Mlynské street to the Thermals
We walked along this street called Charles IV and found the Column of the Windmill. The great building is one of the most characteristic symbols in Karlovy Vary. It was built according to the designs of Zitec, the National Theatre of Prague. At first it was criticized and compared to a bowling alley or a bed of asparagus. It is 132 meters long and has 124 columns. The street in front of it is the Hot Spring street. The houses were all built in the typical style of Karlovy Vary. Many of them are from the late 19th or early 20th centuries. The facades of the houses are decorated with stucco. The only exception is the spa building Pasteur which is from the late 19th century.
