With 5000 inhabitants and a bull ring
I would never have imagines that during my walk along the north side of El Burgo de Osma, I'd find a bullring, as the last thing I would expect is that a municipality of just 5000 inhabitants would have space for bulls. It was opened on August 16, 1905, after being commissioned by the City Council in 1902 the architect Rodolfo Ibañez who began building it in 1903 completing it two years later. The day of the openeing they held a bullfight here. It is a brick building, neo-Mudejar in style, totally simple without any decoration of any kind. The ground outside is a twenty-sided polygon and its facade is composed of two floors, with the simple words "Plaza de Toros" (Bull Ring) the only ones that can be seen on its façade.
