Pasticceria Bucintoro

The bakery is located on Scaleter St., an area where there were once tradiitonal Venetian bakers. This is the last of the traditional local bakeries. All the pastries are handmade in a small kitchen located behind the counter and they're delicious. You can enjoy delicious Venetian sweets like zaleti, Fugasse, il doge bread, San Martins (you eat them during the San Martino), and the traditional Carnival candies (fritoe and crostoli of all varieties). The bakery also has a lounge with tables to sit and try all these delicacies. The staff is very friendly and helpful in recommending things to try.
