Italian renaissance style
Brompton Oratory is located on Brompton Road, next to the Victoria & Albert Museum. It is known as the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. It's a Catholic Church in the Kensington neighborhood. It overlooks the gardens of Cromwell. The church was founded in the nineteenth century by John Henry Newman, who had also founded another chapel in Birmingham. A the time the area was quite rural, and outside of London. At first there it was only the oratory, which they started to construct in 1880. The dome was completed fifteen years later. The interior is an Italian Renaissance style, with marble columns and statues of the apostles made by Mazzuoli, from the Cathedral of Siena in Italy.
