Broadway (Bróduei)

Criada no início da fundação do Brasil, a Vila de Arraial d’Ajuda ficou famosa por suas praias e lendas religiosas que dão um tom todo especial ao lugar. Arraial fervilha durante a alta temporada e suas ruas iluminadas e coloridas ficam apinhadas de turistas em muitas épocas do ano. Foi na década de 1970 que o distrito entrou na rota de viajantes e mochileiros, mas o boom turístico ocorreu entre 1980 e 1990, quando a Bahia ficaria famosa em diversas manifestações culturais e ficções da televisão. Durante esta década a região sul da Bahia se notabilizou por um ritmo frenético, a Lambada, que segundo alguns tocava a noite toda até o sol raiar. Em Arraial existiam diversos bares/danceterias ligadas a lambada, mas parece que uma rua em especial concentrou estes estabelecimentos, a Rua da Broadway. Mas a maioria conhece o lugar como Bróduei, este que foi um dos points da vida noturna na região, quando esta começava a ser descoberta pelo turismo. Hoje o lugar perdeu seu posto de rua das danceterias e bares para a Mucugê, mesmo assim o local ainda guarda lembranças daquela época com suas casas coloridas e diversos estabelecimentos que alegram a região. Com uma energia marcante, no coração de Arraial d’Ajuda, a Bróduei brasileira ainda alegra o mais charmoso centro histórico de Porto Seguro.

Camp bustles during the high season and its bright and colorful streets are crowded with tourists in many seasons. It was in the 1970s that the district entered the travelers and backpackers route, but the tourist boom occurred between 1980 and 1990, when the Bahia would be famous for various cultural events and fictions of television. During this decade the southern Bahia was noted for a frantic pace, the Lambada, which some played all night until the sun comes up. In Arraial there were several bars / clubs linked to lambada, but it looks like a street especially concentrated these establishments, the Broadway Street.
