Hard to miss
It's interesting to note that there are quite a few large clocks around the city of Stirling. They are eye-catching, but few people know the stories behind them. One of the most symbolic is here, the Bridge Clock Tower, on the banks of the River Forth. It was constructed in the early twentieth century, designed to symbolize technological advancement (whether it succeeds or not is another debate). It was built by the Provost David Bayne, who was one of the chief figures who helped to modernize Stirling with various projects. You can't miss it when you enter Stirling.
