Spaghetti night at 9200 feet
We had been warned it would snow, but it's still surprising when you run into it the first weekend in September. So here we are, three families and five kids, putting up tents as late-summer snow swirls around. Tents up, it's time to attempt to light a stove -- no easy feat in this thin air and with numbed fingers. Spaghetti night -- Tabitha makes it with ground beef and lots of cheese. The spaghetti goes cold almost as soon as it's on our plates, but we're lucky anyway -- the skies have cleared and the snow is gone (for now).
