Huge temple that's surround by vineyards
A white stone fort with a draw-bridge welcomes you in the distance: that is when you know you've reached Bouteville. A castle dating back to the Hundred Years War is just one of the tourist attractions of this village. Right in the "boom" of palatial buildings and fortifications that bathed the western part of France, the castle was Bouteville one of the most impressive. It was fortunate to be restored despite the damage at the time. Before going up the hill we came across a parish church from the 11th century. It's a huge temple that's surround by vineyards, which impresses in its size alone. Its interior has beautiful murals with almost 700 years of history that impress with the vivid colors, and for its stone lattices.
