A natural, fresh atmosphere

The Angers botanical garden is a large space in the centre of the city, covering nearly 4 acres. It's warm and pleasant with plenty of plants, rivers, bridges, playgrounds and animals. Here you can walk, relax, or play sports with your friends. It's a popular spot for tourists, and even has a restaurant - "Restaurant des Plantes". What a great name! The monument you can see at the entrance to the garden shows Michel Chevreul Eugene, the great French chemist born in Angers, known for his research on animal fats. The restaurant, in the centre, is a very nice spot where you can enjoy some great food

Le Jardin des plantes

Le jardin des plantes d'Angers, situé à côté du Palais des Congrès, a été réaménagé au début du XXème siècle par Edouard André. Ce jardin offre quatre hectares de nature en plein centre-ville, avec des arbres variés, de jolies petites plantes, des ruisseaux et cascades encadrés par des statues originales. Il est aussi très agréable de s'y promener en famille. Les enfants y trouvent leur compte grâce aux espaces de jeu aménagés, et à la petite ferme proposée ! En effet, on peut approcher d'assez près de petits animaux comme des lapins, des chèvres ou des poules. C'est très plaisant !

The garden of Angers plant, located next to the Palais des Congres, was redeveloped in the early twentieth century by Edouard André. This garden offers four acres of nature in the city center, with various trees, beautiful little plants, streams and waterfalls framed by original statues. It is also nice to walk with the family. Children find their account through playgrounds constructed, and the proposed small farm! In fact, you can get close enough small animals such as rabbits, goats or chickens. It's very fun!

Juste à coté du palais des congrès ce ja...

Juste à coté du palais des congrès ce jardin est très agréable. On y vient se reposer ou déjeuner en toute tranquillité. Sa taille ( 4 hectares) permet de se promener sans être déranger. Il y a toujours un bac prêt a vous accueillir, m^me si parfois il faut aller le chercher. Les arbres et les fleurs vairés favorise des balades et les plan d'eau avec les canards et les oies sont là pour ceux qui préfèrent flâner. Et une aire de jeux pas très grand il est vrai est là pour les enfants ainsi que quelques animaux (chèvre, lapins...)

Right next to the convention center this garden is very pleasant. It comes to rest or lunch in peace. Its size (4 hectares) allows you to walk without being disturbed. There is always a tray ready to welcome you, m ^ me if sometimes you get it. Trees and flowers VAIRES promotes walks and pond with ducks and geese are there for those who prefer to stroll. And a playground not very large it is true is there for the children and some animals (goats, rabbits ...)

Le jardin des plantes en plein centre ville d'Angers et à côté du centre des congrès est un espace magnifique de plusieurs hectares d'arbres , de plantes , de ruisseaux et de petits ponts. C'est un endroit très agréable et sympathique pour faire une pause et se détendre . Il dispose également de nombreux bancs qui permettent de se reposer tout en admirant le paysage. Pour les enfants , il ya un espace jeux et des animaux à nourrir :) .

The botanical garden in the city center of Angers and next to the convention center is a beautiful area of several acres of trees, plants, streams and small bridges. This is a very nice and friendly place to take a break and relax. It also has many benches that allow to rest while enjoying the scenery. For children there is a play area and animals to feed :).
