A natural, fresh atmosphere
The Angers botanical garden is a large space in the centre of the city, covering nearly 4 acres. It's warm and pleasant with plenty of plants, rivers, bridges, playgrounds and animals. Here you can walk, relax, or play sports with your friends. It's a popular spot for tourists, and even has a restaurant - "Restaurant des Plantes". What a great name! The monument you can see at the entrance to the garden shows Michel Chevreul Eugene, the great French chemist born in Angers, known for his research on animal fats. The restaurant, in the centre, is a very nice spot where you can enjoy some great food
