Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area

There are 34 islands in Boston Harbor. They can be reached by ferry services from Long Wharf, Pemberton Point, and Fore River Shipyard. Each island has its own unique charm, so you must find your own particular favorite. The most famous is Georges Island, visited for Fort Warren and its military history.
