Borgund Stavkirke

The best thing about this place, other than the church itself and its wooden structure, is the surrounding landscape. It's all green, overgrown and conveys a special peace and tranquility. There was a little rain the day we went, but maybe because of the drops, it was far more striking.

It's one of the 1st Christian church that was built in Norway. It was built in the Middle Ages and is the only one left from that era. It's completely made out of wooden but has still mananged to survive 800 year.
