Bonatti Hut

This Rifugio is a couple of hours walk from Rifugio Bertone.

The path meanders through forest and pasture. It offers the first of many opportunities along the TMB to get up close and personal with regions famous cheese makers.

When not mingling with big eyed, bell ringing dairy cows the other distraction is the imposing views of Les Grande Jorasses. This is best enjoyed from the picnic tables on the terrace of Rifugio Bonatti.

It is highly recommended to try the bilberry crostata, fabulously flaky pastry which can only be attributed to the excellent butter.
