Mumbai Zoo (Veermata Jijabai Udyan)

Bombay Zoo is another legacy of British colonialism and is poorly preserved and rather strange. Most cages are empty, though some are occupied by cats. There are also elephants overwhelmed by the heat and humidity. In short, unless you are staing in the city for a long time, the diversion is not really worth it, especially because the zoo is practically closed.
