Bois du Luc

The ecomuseum was one of the most important mining places in Belgium from the Middle Ages until the late 50's. The visit is a tour of the industrial and social history of Europe since the seventeenth century. Entering the mine shaft of Le Bois gives you goosebump,s because you know the working conditions of this place. Here, part of the labor movement was forged in our continent. The visit takes place in the offices through the mansion of the Director, the various wells, and of course, the working class city that was constructed around the mining exploitation. Bois du Luc forms with other major engineering works recognized as World Heritage.
