A tasting for a first experience
Una cata para una primera experiencia
Hemos estado esta Semana Santa en Oporto, y queríamos probar sus famosos vinos, que aunque se llamen de Oporto, se encuentran físicamente en la localidad de Vila Nova de Gaia, justo cruzando al otro lado del puente de Luis I.
Lo primero, el domingo 20 de abril hizo un tiempo estupendo, lo segundo, nos decidimos a bajar andando hasta las bodegas y no coger el teleférico. Al llegar a la orilla nos encontramos a un simpático barquero que nos ofreció dar un paseo por el río Duero, y la entrada incluía una cata de vino en las bodegas Quevedo; así que después del paseo por el río, nos adentramos en el mundo del Oporto.
La bodega, en su espacio de entrada tiene una pequeña exposición en la cual te hace una breve descripción de donde se encuentran los viñedos, así como qué es el vino de Oporto. En la primera planta, se encuentra la barra donde intercambias un ticket por la cata de un vino. Nosotros nos decantamos por los rojos, el Tanny y el Ruby.
Los vinos de Oporto son vinos dulces, con alta graduación, ¡¡¡casi 20º!!!, así que conviene no tomarse muchas copitas, que los tragos los sirven cortos, porque con el estómago no muy lleno puede hacer verdaderos estragos.
Como primera experiencia en los Oporto, he de decir que fue muy buena, de hecho, nos llevamos el pack de 4 botellitas por 6€, de las cuales ya hemos dado cuenta de ellas en nuestro retorno a casa, ¡¡a la salud de Oporto!!
We have been this Easter in Porto, and wanted to try its famous wines, although they are called Oporto, are physically located in the town of Vila Nova de Gaia, just across the other side of the bridge of Luis I. The first, on Sunday April 20 was a great time, the second, we decided to walk down to the cellars and not take the cable car. Upon reaching the shore we found a friendly boatman who offered us a ride on the Douro River, and entry included a wine tasting at the wineries Quevedo; so after the walk along the river, we enter the world of Oporto. The cellar, where the input space has a small exhibition in which makes you a brief description of where the vineyards as well as what is port wine. On the first floor is the bar where you exchange a ticket for a wine tasting. We opted for the red, the Tanny and Ruby. The port wines are sweet wines with high alcohol content, nearly 20 °! So many cups should not be taken, who swallows the short serve, because with the not very full stomach can make havoc. As a first experience in Oporto, I must say it was very good, in fact, we took the pack of 4 bottles for 6 €, of which we have already noticed them on our return home, the health of Oporto!
