A work of architecture
Nestled up in the foothills, the Boddy House is perched up high inside the Descanso Gardens and is quite a work of architecture to behold. It’s a restored version of the home of E. Manchester Boddy, who had a 22-room mansion built in 1937. It’s an interesting building to walk around in with all the lavish furniture and informational boards. History aficionados and photographers will enjoy this place. With admission to Descanso Gardens, touring the Boddy House is free. (So is parking.) It’s definitely worth checking out for those who happen to already in the area. It’s worth noting that there’s some incline in getting up to the building and that it’s open from 10 a.m.
