Boat Trip on the Canals

Sin duda, un paseo en barca por los canales Ámsterdam, es una de las experiencias obligadas en esta ciudad. Hay bastantes opciones y tipos de barcas; desde el clásico bote pequeño o al grande; o simplemente alquilar una especie de hidropedal. Nosotros nos decidimos por el típico “City Sightseeing”, que al igual que en todas las ciudades, en Ámsterdam también lo hay pero en barca. Tenía una parte cubierta por una lona y otra al descubierto, justo lo que yo buscaba para poder hacer buenas fotos. Como el día se estaba poniendo muy feo, poca gente se atrevía a montarse en uno de éstos, así que teníamos un bote para nosotros solos (a parte del conductor y un turista más). Partimos desde justo enfrente de la Estación Central y a la primera curva ya estábamos en los pequeños canales del Barrio Rojo. Cómo no, empezó a llover en ese justo momento, pero por lo menos nos podíamos resguardar. Saliendo del Barrio Rojo, nos adentramos en el río Ámstel, que atraviesa toda la ciudad. Casi todos los recorridos, se adentran en el Grachtengordel (Cinturón de Canales), que en forma de tela de araña bordea todo el centro de la ciudad. Estos canales fueron construidos durante el Siglo de Oro ( XVII), cuando ya la ciudad no se contenía dentro de sus antiguas murallas. Declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad, es posiblemente la imagen más icónica de Ámsterdam. Es aquí donde nos encontramos con el “Puente de los 15 Puentes“, donde el Reguliersgraht y Herengracht se cruzan. A un lado se verán 6 puentes de arcos, uno tras otro; y al otro lado otros 6 y al otro 2 más. El que falta es en el que uno se posa, aunque en nuestro caso estábamos dentro del canal. Siguiendo por Herengracht, uno sólo puede quedarse fascinado con tanta belleza. Motivos no le han faltado para ser Patrimonio de la Humanidad, con ese estilo arquitectónico tan representativo. Aquí los más adinerados, se construyeron las mejores casas de la ciudad, y poco han cambiado. Saliendo de estos canales, volvemos a llegar a la Estación Central, punto de inicio y fin de un fantástico recorrido. Una pasada y como dije, obligado en cualquier visita a la ciudad de los canales.

Mereció muchísimo la pena hacerlo!, os lo recomiendo 100%, es muy ameno y a la vez que vas surcando los canales y distintos barrios, te van contando la historia de allí en muchísimo idiomas, ¡solo tienes que elegir el tuyo! :)

I canali non sono nient’altro che il simbolo per antonomasia dell’Olanda, quindi quando si visita questo Paese, oltre a dover per forza di cose noleggiare una bicicletta e andare in giro con questa, anche solo per un giorno, anche fare il giro dei canali in barca è d’obbligo.

Nos costó 16€ por persona y el viaje duraba una hora, te regalan unos auriculares y te van explicando todos los sitios por los que pasas durante el viaje. A nosotros nos encantó.

Decidimos dar paseo en barco cubierto ya que estaba lloviendo. También había cruceros tanto en inglés como en Español. Lo malo es que no se podía ni comer ni beber dentro del q cojimos y los niños sufrieron un poco. por lo demás da una vuelta bastante grande por los canales.
