Delicious fish tacos
I hate to sound like a pretentious city dweller, but more times than not the quality of restaurants in the suburbs of a major city just do not live up to that of the urban style. The food quality is lower, not as much effort is put into the atmosphere, and not an "experience".
I cannot say this for Blackfinn Grille. We came out to the area to visit family and wanted a quick bite and perhaps a beer. The setting of the dining room was very classy, artsy, and well designed. There were neat photos of Chicago on the walls and pretty oak booths to sit in.
The server was very knowledgeable about the seasonal beers and the menu. I wouldn't get their French fry appetizer again but the fish tacos were full of lovely flavors (especially the chimichurri sauce). My boyfriend had one of their many burgers and loved it.
