A good spot
Black Mountain is 5 kilometres from the parliament, and is a good spot to see the city from outside. Unfortunately, there's a large number of trees in front of the two viewpoints. The mountain has a tower, though, where you can pay 7 AUD to enjoy a clear view of the city. It's a nice place to watch the sunset, and there is some parking next to the tower. But due to the large number of antennas hanging from the tower, often the parked cars start honking uncontrollably! There's a sign reassuring people that it's nothing to worry about, but it's still a bit disconcerting!
