Una maravilla renovada
Mucha gente ha oído la palabra "bitácora", y muchos también piensan que se refiere a un cuadernillo donde se anotaban las incidencias de una travesía en barco. No van desencaminados, pero no es del todo correcto. La bitácora es un pequeño armario, de forma cilíndrica donde se guardaba el elemento más importante del barco, la aguja que señalaba el norte magnético y sin cuyas indicaciones los tripulantes quedaban a la deriva.
Y ese mismo elemento, con todo su simbolismo, es el que nos recibe nada más llegar al hotel Bitácora de Spring Hoteles. En el establecimiento se guardan, como en ese armario naútico, todos los secretos de Spring Hoteles. Empezando por la amabilidad infinita y la cálida acogida de su servicio de Recepción, pasando por la riquísima gastronomía con la que contentar nuestro paladar, o la comodidad de sus recién reformadas habitaciones y un sistema de Todo Incluido y Media Pensión, con primeras marcas que me sorprendió muy gratamente. Pero veamos todo esto en detalle.
Si hay algo que valoro infinitamente cuando llego al hotel donde voy a alojarme es la bienvenida de la recepción. No creo que nadie disienta conmigo en que es uno de los puntos débiles de muchos hoteles del mundo y eso que es la primera y última imagen que un huésped recoge durante su estancia.
Bitácora se lleva aquí una puntuación de 10/10. La profesionalidad del personal es realmente fabulosa con ejemplos como el de Ubaldo, que llega a la perfección. Se notan las tablas y mucho.
Tras un check in rapidísimo, donde nos han informado perfectamente de todos los servicios del hotel y las posibilidades que ofrece nos dirigimos a la habitación.
Una habitación sencilla, funcional pero decorada con muy buen gusto, con una estupenda selección de colores, formas y texturas y sobre todo cómoda y luminosa. El espacioso balcón tiene unas vistas realmente envidiables, mirando hacia la piscina y al Atlántico. La limpieza, impecable, sobre todo brilla en el baño, que parece acabado de estrenar, con un completísimo set de amenities.
A esta hora nada mejor que un baño en una de las piscinas del hotel, ya que el calor aprieta, así que bajamos rápidamente y tras coger las toallas en la recepción nos dirigimos a disfrutar de un chapuzón.
El espacio de piscinas es realmente un marco semitropical, con palmeras enormes y grandes espacios ajardinados, con lo que la zona de disfrute no se limita a las hamacas sino que se puede disfrutar también sobre el cuidado y mullido césped.
Pero el sol y el calor dan sed, así que nada mejor que acercarnos al bar de la piscina a por unas refrescantes y enormes cañas de cerveza y acompañarlas con unos nachos, unas croquetitas y unas deliciosas y crujientes papas fritas. Un placer sencillo pero incomparable.
Y dejamos pasar el tiempo disfrutando del sol y de la alegría del imparable equipo de animación, que mantienen una relación muy cercana y agradable con los clientes del hotel, animándolos a participar en todas y cada una de las actividades que realizan.
El estómago reclama nuestra atención, y debemos hacerle caso, así que nos dirigimos al comedor que está situado al mismo nivel que la zona de las piscinas para disfrutar de un buffet muy completo y que agradablemente tiene muchos ingredientes de nuestra cocina canaria, algo que veremos en los tres hoteles de la cadena y que siempre es de alabar, ya que no solo potencia y difunde los ingredientes y sabores de la gastronomía isleña sino que también evita esa sensación que dan otros hoteles de no estar en Canarias e incluso en España, con comidas demasiado standard y sin personalidad.
Vamos desfilando ante los vistosos y bien presentados mostradores del buffet, dejándonos tentar por platos con un aspecto magnífico que dan una idea de su sabor y del cariño con el que han sido preparados: un fresco y sabroso gazpacho, un pescado a la plancha jugoso y perfectamente cocinado, unos mejillones que saben a mar, una fruta dulce y en su punto y unos postres realmente apetecibles.
¡Qué difícil es elegir entre tantos manjares!
Por la tarde disfrutamos de la tranquilidad de la piscina con un estupendo mojito preparado con ingredientes naturales y un ron de primera calidad, como corresponde a los niveles de exigencia del hotel para con sus clientes. ¡Exquisito!
Mas tarde, si tenemos niños, a los que Bitácora trata como auténticos reyes, podemos acercarnos a disfrutar con ellos del nuevo y sorprendente Springlyworld, un espacio creado recientemente con las últimas tendencias en parque infantil, que combinan la diversión y el juego con actividades de aprendizaje, coordinación de movimiento, formas y colores muy atractivas que estimulan la imaginación y el recreo y un punto muy importante, es accesible para niños con movilidad reducida. ¡Enhorabuena por este espacio!
Alex, Nick, Paul, Daniel y Lucy son los personajes que simbolizan las franjas de edad en las que se ha dividido el Springly, contando cada uno de ellos con su circuito específico. En total una capacidad de 277 niños jugando, 95 juegos y 1300 metros de diversión.
Antes de cenar, un estupendo cóctel preparado por los expertos barman mientras hablamos de los buenos momentos del día y empezamos a pensar en lo que disfrutaremos al día siguiente.
La cena, como es de esperar, igual de exquisita que el almuerzo, con una variedad enorme de deliciosos platos y unos postres para los que hay que dejar sitio en el estómago.
Una copita tras la cena, mientras escuchamos algo de buena música en el bar y nos vamos a la cama, sabiendo que al día siguiente nos espera otra fabulosa jornada, llena de diversión, pero también de relax y disfrute, en el maravilloso Hotel Spring Bitácora.
